Posting to Facebook and LinkedIn from your site

Having the best site on the web is no guarantee it will be found and appreciated.  You have to actively promote it and one of the best ways to increase the site’s visibility is to drive traffic through major social networks, such as Facebook and LinkedIn.  However, that calls for increased marketing efforts, even if it is simply coping and pasting same content across different sites.

As developers, we approached this by developing an integrated solution, which automatically posts a blog entry not only to our own site but also to our Facebook and LinkedIn pages.  Technical specifics aside, we use APIs and modules to pass data from our site to 3rd party sites.  Some of that technology is readily available; some required us to patch existing Drupal modules.  The end result is sweet, single post going to multiple online destinations.

If you have any questions on similar integration, please reach out using our contact form.
