ESPN uses HTML 5 technology for their iPad site. Site navigation and live updates have been optimized for the iPad multi-Touch display. With HTML 5 technology, OSS developed the advertisements for ESPN’s iPad page.
We programmed video Pre-Rolls that run in front of videos played within the dedicated video player of the app. We developed the Corner Banners on all of the Table of Contents pages for ESPN’s iPad site. This corner banner ad, when tapped, expands into a 1/3 screen advertisement of the sponsor’s choosing. Tapped again, it extends to a full screen ad, where video and any other media composed in HTML5 are displayed. Upon launch of the ESPN application, the app also calls back to the ad server to populate this space with the sponsor’s logo. To view our development work, download the ESPN app on your iPad device.
